How are we different?

As an active ingredient, chromium is never available in isolation, but rather bonded within a compound. We use highly bioavailable chromium picolinate as an ultra pure premium ingredient in pharmaceutical quality.

The only other ingredient that we use is gum arabic, which is a natural carrier material and nutritious substance that we source from sustainable cultivation without pesticides from Inavea®, the globally leading producer of gum arabic. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, which is often synthetic and high in nanoparticles, we use a 100% natural and fibre-rich food as a filler. The soluble gum arabic is well-tolerated and even serves as a food source for bifido- and lactobacteria in the intestines. Inavea® gum arabic is sourced from climate neutral, sustainable, resource-saving and fair cultivation.

We use environmentally friendly amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.

Effects

Chromium is an essential trace element and contributes to the metabolism of macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fat) and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.

Chromium plays a role in the formation of the glucose tolerance factor (GTF), which increases insulin sensitivity and thereby influences blood glucose levels. A chromium deficiency can therefore lead to reduced glucose tolerance with fluctuating blood glucose levels and, in the long term, to elevated blood glucose levels.

Chromium picolinate has significantly better bioavailability compared to other chromium compounds such as chromium chloride.

Dosage

Directions

Take 1 tablet (200µg chromium) with 200ml water daily at mealtimes.

Daily Requirements

The National Health Service (NHS) recommends a daily intake of 25µg of chromium. However, it is important to note that individual chromium needs may vary according to age, dietary habits, genetics and other factors.

According to the WHO, chromium supplementation should not exceed 250µg. Human studies have shown, however, that doses of 1mg taken over a period of months do not cause undesirable side effects.

Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
