Hyaluronic acid is available in different particle sizes, which are characterised by the molecular weight. Because of its high molecular weight, hyaluronic acid is particularly efficient at binding water and and retaining moisture. Since micro and nano-sized hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body as a degradation product, our high-dose hyaluronic acid is specially formulated with a molecular weight range of 2.2–2.3 million Daltons, exceeding the micro and nano range. Additionally, rather than commonly using animal-derived sources such as chicken combs, we have opted for a fermentation process to produce our hyaluronic acid exclusively from plant-based sources, ensuring a 100% vegan ingredient.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
