This plant-based MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is derived from oils of various plant seeds. Each capsule contains 1000mg MSM. Sulphur is involved in the formation of collagen and enzymes, amongst other body processes. Vegan, no additives. 2x180 capsules.
Generic MSM products are derived from the reaction between DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) and hydrogen peroxide. Our MSM is, however, plant-based and derived from the DMSO extracted from the oils of plant seeds. The MSM raw material is purified in two crystallisation steps, resulting in a final product with 100% purity.
MSM can have different levels of purity depending on the production process used. When relying on crystallisation, impurities such as DMSO and auxiliary agents become embedded within the MSM crystals, leading to at least a 1% contamination of the product. Our plant-based MSM powder, however, consists of 99.9% pure MSM crystals.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass jars.
Sulphur is an essential mineral which plays a role in many bodily processes. Sulphur is the 8th most prevalent mineral in the body and alongside calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, and phosphorus serves as one of the building blocks for diverse bodily tissues. Sulphur is especially important for the formation of collagen, which is an important component of connective tissues as well as cartilage, hair, and nails. As a component of disulfide bridges and numerous amino acids including methionine, taurine, and cysteine, sulphur can be found in all parts of the body.
Because methylsulfonylmethane is bonded with hydrocarbons, it is also sometimes referred to as an organosulphur compound. MSM is a biologically active sulphur compound with a sulphur content of 34%.
Take up to 3 capsules (1000mg MSM per capsule) daily with 200ml water. It can be taken with meals (in case of a sensitive stomach), otherwise in the morning and in the afternoon between meals. Taking it in the evening is less recommended as it may disturb sleep.
Take 3 capsules daily (per capsule 1000mg MSM) spread over the day with 200ml of water with each meal. For fastest absorption, take the capsule on an empty stomach.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
