How are we different?
Conventional omega-3 supplements typically use fish oil as their base. However, many fish species carry high levels of heavy metals and environmental toxins. That's why we use vegan omega-3 from natural algae oil instead. Microalgae aren't just an ethical, reliable source of omega-3 fatty acids; they also contain numerous other valuable phytochemicals and show no measurable contamination.
Our most EPA-rich omega-3 oil is derived from the microalga Schizochytrium sp., which has one of the highest plant-based levels of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) known. Unlike other vegan omega-3 products, this algae doesn't provide the inactive precursor alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), found in flaxseed oil and requiring conversion into its active form; instead, it delivers the bioactive omega-3 fatty acid DHA directly.
To achieve this exceptionally high EPA and DHA content in the optimal 16:9 ratio, these highly sensitive omega-3 fatty acids are gently concentrated using high-pressure fluid technology. The sunflower lecithin it contains acts as a natural emulsifier, supporting the stability of the premium algae oil. To optimally protect these sensitive omega-3 fatty acids, a combination of natural rosemary extract and mixed tocopherols (vitamin E) provides effective protection against oxidation. This careful formulation preserves the freshness of the fatty acids and ensures consistently high quality and shelf life over the long term.
The algae are cultivated in closed fermentation systems that don't disturb the sensitive marine ecosystem. As a result, our omega-3 oil has no negative impact on fish stocks or the natural food sources of marine life.
For the capsule shells, we use vegan softgels made from tapioca starch (cassava root), produced exclusively for us without hidden additives such as PEG or carrageenan. We package this product in amber glass jars instead of plastic to protect the ingredients from light.
Our commitment to uncompromising quality & purity:
- Premium active ingredients as pure isolates & directly sourced from leading global producers
- All formulations crafted exclusively from selected individual raw materials
- Our commitment: zero unnecessary additives, technical excipients or chemical extraction agents
- Voluntary declaration of all non-mandatory ingredients
- Where additives are necessary, preference is given to valuable natural ingredients
- Capsule shells entirely free from carrageenan & PEG
- Systematic quality testing conducted by independent laboratories
- Packaged in amber glass or premium aroma-protective zipper bags designed to protect against oxidation & contaminants

Effects
Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are a special class of polyunsaturated fatty acids which regulate many important body functions, including brain and heart function, acting as essential components of cell membranes and serving as precursors to eicosanoids.
The bioactive omega-3 fatty acids are docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). To date, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has approved the following statements:
DHA & EPA
- Contribute to the maintenance of normal cardiac function.
DHA
- Contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function.
- Contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
The National Health Service (NHS) does not currently have any published recommendations regarding daily intake of omega-3.
TOTOX Value
Omega-3 oils are only as good as they are fresh: omega-3 fatty acids are naturally reactive and prone to oxidation processes, leading to rancidity. Oxidised omega-3 fatty acids produce primary fatty acid peroxides, which further degrade into secondary oxidation products, such as aldehydes (e.g., malondialdehyde and 4-hydroxyhexenal). Assessing oxidative by-products is therefore vital to guarantee the quality of omega-3 supplements.
To gauge omega-3 oil oxidation, three key values are employed: the peroxide value (PV), p-anisidine value and the TOTOX value, the latter of which is calculated from anisidine and peroxide values (TOTOX value = p-anisidine value + (2 * PV)).
The TOTOX value (TOTal OXidation) is an internationally recognised indicator which assesses overall oxidation levels in fats and oils, serving as an important barometer of their freshness. The anisidine value (AV) measures aldehyde formation during fat oxidation, revealing whether the oil was processed and stored correctly. The peroxide value (PV) quantifies the state of oxidation. Higher TOTOX values indicate greater rancidity.
We continuously monitor our omega-3 products for anisidine and peroxide values, not only at the raw material stage but also after the oil has been filled into our capsules and bottles at the final product stage. During production, we take the greatest possible care to ensure that all contact with oxygen is minimised in order to prevent oxidation processes. We prioritise the freshness of our raw materials and proper end-product storage, minimising extended storage times.
Official bodies (IFOS, IKOS, GOED, GMBI) stipulate that the following limits must not be exceeded:
- Peroxide value (PV): maximum 5 mEq/kg
- Anisidine value (AV): maximum 20
- TOTOX value: maximum 26
A TOTOX value exceeding 26 indicates spoilage in the omega-3 oil, rendering it unfit for consumption. Conversely, a TOTOX value below 20 signifies fresh, high-quality oil.
A deterioration in the taste or smell of the algae oil within this timeframe suggests premature oxidation. Possible culprits include contact between the dropper and the mouth/tongue or improper storage: store your omega-3 product away from light in the refrigerator's lower section to significantly slow down oxidation processes in the algae oil, both before and after opening the package.
Our products have values well below the recommended limits. Please refer to our lab test results below.

Product Details
Our in-house production guarantees uncompromising purity and quality. Production, bottling and encapsulation take place in the EU according to our own rigorous specifications and in strict compliance with HACCP, GMP and ISO 22000:2018 standards.
Bespoke liquid formulations, (functional) foods for athletic and daily performance and select exclusive items are produced as high-grade custom preparations by chosen partners who share our commitment to quality, adhering strictly to HACCP, GMP and ISO standards.
In line with our True Clean Label philosophy, we refrain from using artificial additives, colourants and preservatives intended to standardise product appearance. Consequently, formulations containing natural botanical extracts and plant-based raw materials may display subtle batch-to-batch colour variations. These variations stem from natural factors such as harvest timing (seasonal differences between early and late harvests), origin (geographical soil and climate fluctuations) or processing dynamics (variations in particle grind size). Such natural shade shifts may also occur in our plant-based or compressed tablets formulated with premium acacia fibre or nanoparticle-free cellulose and do not constitute a defect in quality.
Laboratory Tests
The purity of our formulas is important to us. This is why we have both our raw ingredients as well as our finished products extensively tested by independent laboratories to confirm purity and active ingredient content. Here, we have provided the results of some of the tests carried out on this product.
