How are we different?

Ceramide-PCD® is a patented premium raw material with a standardised content of 3% ceramides. It is produced by extracting a crude oil from rice bran and rice germ, which is then turned into a valuable ethanol extract. The addition of cyclodextrin improves solubility, which greatly increases bioavailability compared to conventional rice extracts.

The only other ingredient we use is premium gum arabic grown without plant protection products as a natural filler. In contrast to the usual synthetic filler microcrystalline cellulose mixed with nanoparticles, we use a natural, fibre-rich foodstuff as a filler. Our gum arabic comes from climate-neutral, sustainable, resource-conserving and fair cultivation.

For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Rice

There are also wild forms in South America, Africa and Australia. In many cultures, rice symbolises life and fertility. The custom of throwing rice at a bride and groom may have originated in China. It is said to bring good luck and many offspring. Rice also plays a role in wedding customs in India. When the bride says "I do," a handful of rice grains are traditionally wrapped in a corner of her sari.
