Vitamin D3 is found almost exclusively in animal products, meaning that the vitamin D3 found in supplements is usually obtained from raw materials such as sheep's wool, fish oil and shellfish. However, years of research have recently led to the discovery of a purely plant-based source of vitamin D3, meaning we can now offer entirely natural and vegan vitamin D3 products.
Our vegan vitamin D3 is gently extracted through an ultra-pure food-grade ethanol and water-based extraction process without the use of chemical solvents and is free from extraction residues. We use tapioca starch from non-GMO manioc root as a carrier, avoiding the use of maltodextrin and corn starch from genetically modified corn.
The only other ingredient we use is premium gum arabic cultivated without pesticides. In contrast to the usual synthetic fillers, we use an ultra pure natural filler that is also rich in dietary fibre. Our gum arabic is sourced from climate neutral, resource-saving, sustainable and fair cultivation.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC capsules that can be found on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We use environmentally friendly amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.
