According to current research, iron bisglycinate is the iron compound with the highest bioavailability. In this form, the mineral iron is bound to the amino acid L-glycine, allowing it to be absorbed exceptionally well by the body. While glycine occurs naturally in nuts, soya beans and lentils, it cannot be isolated from these sources in significant quantities. For this reason, we use pharmaceutical-grade, highly pure glycine and iron bisglycinate for our high-strength iron capsules. We have chosen a high-purity synthetic iron bisglycinate produced in Germany, which makes our high-strength formulation not only exceptionally well-tolerated but also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Additionally, the inclusion of vitamin C enhances iron absorption. Our vitamin C is derived from non-GMO maize through a specialised manufacturing process and is maize-free in the final product. This ensures a concentration of nearly 100% (at least 99.8%) and a high level of purity.
The raw materials were produced in Germany and the USA in accordance with the most stringent purity and quality standards.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass jars.
