The special magnesium compounds magnesium L-threonate, as the patented premium raw material Magtein®, as well as magnesium taurate and bisglycinate as high-quality amino acid chelates, are three specific forms of magnesium known for their particularly high bioavailability. They are especially suitable for supporting the brain and nervous system.
In magnesium L-threonate, magnesium is bound to the Vitamin C metabolite L-threonic acid, which ensures its excellent absorbability. The patented production process begins with Vitamin C as the natural starting material. Through a gentle and carefully controlled process, Vitamin C is converted into magnesium L-threonate with the help of magnesium carbonate and activated carbon.
In organic magnesium taurate, magnesium is bound to the amino acid taurine, forming an amino acid chelate. This magnesium compound exhibits excellent bioavailability and is also suitable for individuals with a sensitive gastrointestinal system. We use a magnesium taurate with a particularly high purity of 98%.
Magnesium bisglycinate is fundamentally produced from magnesium oxide and the vegan amino acid glycine. For production, the two raw materials are brought to reaction. It is the usual market standard to use a particularly large proportion of magnesium oxide, so that a certain amount of this raw material remains in the final product. In contrast, our pure magnesium glycinate raw material consists of 100% magnesium glycinate with no residual magnesium oxide. Due to the production process, up to 10% citric acid may remain in the raw material.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
