Our chasteberry extract (Vitex agnus-castus L., also known as monk's pepper) is obtained exclusively from the flowers of the shrub. Extraction is carried out using only food-grade water and ethanol, so that the valuable ingredients never come into contact with other solvents or extraction agents such as acetone or methanol. The finished, gently dried extract contains a guaranteed 5% of the valuable flavonoid vitexin.
The only other ingredient we use is premium gum arabic grown without plant protection products as a purely natural filler. In contrast to the usual synthetic filler microcrystalline cellulose with nanoparticles, we use a natural, high-fibre foodstuff as a filler. Our gum arabic comes from climate-neutral, sustainable, resource-conserving and fair cultivation.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
