Our OPC 300 capsules are 100% extracted from the seeds of French Chardonnay grapes, which are considered the best source of natural OPC. The quality of different OPC products differs enormously, as the actual content of OPC varies greatly. Conventional tests such as the DMAC and vanillin tests provide misleading and far too high OPC values here, which are sometimes 400% higher than the actual OPC content. Only HPLC controls can confirm the true OPC content.
Our OPC 300 has been tested by the TU Braunschweig for its actual OPC content and the test results are published by us in their entirety. Our grape seed extract from French Chradonnay grapes has a pure content of at least 95% polyphenols. Many manufacturers confuse this with the actual OPC content. According to the manufacturer of our raw materials, this content is 77.6%. We were able to confirm this value with an HPLC laboratory test broken down into mono-, di-, tri-, tetra-, penta- and polymers, the most reliable measuring method, carried out by the Technical University of Braunschweig: minus the monomers not counted as OPCs, the OPC pure content was around 77.5%. For the di- to pentamers, which are relevant according to the strict interpretation, the content was 11.7%.
In contrast to other products, our OPC 300 is extracted completely without solvents, using only water and edible ethanol. This allows us to achieve a highly pure OPC concentrate that has never been in contact with common chemical solvents such as N-hexane. All products are guaranteed free of additives such as maltodextrin or peanut powder, which are added by many manufacturers for cost reasons but do not have to be declared.
For the capsule shells, we use special HPMC capsules, which, unlike most other HPMC or Pullulan capsules on the market, are manufactured 100% without the auxiliary substances carrageenan and PEG, which do not have to be declared. For packaging, we use light-protected and environmentally friendly amber glass instead of plastic.
