How are we different?

Our organic magnesium is a 100% natural plant extract derived from the edible algae Ulva lactuca, also known as sea lettuce. This algae has a natural magnesium content of 25%, making it an excellent source of plant-based magnesium. The extract provides a highly bioavailable, organic and pharmaceutical-grade magnesium complex in combination with phytochemicals and plant proteins. This magnesium is therefore particularly bioavailable and suitable for those with a sensitive gastrointestinal tract.

The raw ingredients are wildcrafted in France and Argentina in protected bay areas with calm and clean sea water; the purity of the water is constantly monitored. The hand-harvested algae are regularly trimmed so that they can grow back and be harvested multiple times a year. After sun-drying, the algae are gently milled.

For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass jars.

Organic Magnesium

In food, magnesium always occurs as an organic compound that can be easily utilised by the body. Various studies indicate that the bioavailability of organic magnesium is significantly higher than that from synthetic, inorganic magnesium salts.

Our organic magnesium is derived 100% from natural organic sea lettuce extract; this extract yields a complex containing various organic magnesium compounds in combination with a rich matrix of valuable phytochemicals. As a result, this magnesium product is highly bioavailable.

Dosage

Directions

Take 3 capsules daily (125mg magnesium per capsule) with 200ml water.

Note: Spreading the dosage out across the day can improve absorption, since only a limited amount of magnesium can be absorbed at a time. Ideal intake times for magnesium include the morning just after waking, before lunch or after sports, and in the evening before bed. Taking magnesium on an empty stomach or 30 minutes before a meal can improve absorption.

Daily Requirements

The National Health Service (NHS) recommends a daily intake of 300mg for men and 270mg for women of magnesium. However, it is important to note that individual magnesium needs may vary according to age, dietary habits, genetics and other factors.
