How are we different?
We source our high-grade psyllium husk powder directly from the leading organic farms for psyllium in India, specifically in the primary cultivation region of Rajasthan, where approximately 80% of all of India's psyllium is grown. The psyllium is harvested by hand and dried in the sun at a maximum temperature of 30°C for approximately 72 hours. The pure husks are collected via mechanical separation of the husk and seed. The husks are then finely milled to create a 99% pure powder.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG.

Indian Psyllium Husks
Psyllium husks are the shells of the plantain-like Plantago indica/ovata. When the fruits of the plant are ripe, the small seeds which spring up resemble fleas. This appearance gives the plant its name ("psulla" is Greek for flea). Psyllium has also be used in Europe since ancient times.
It is mostly the husks of the psyllium that contain the valuable, mucous-forming fibre (mucilage). This fibre swells up when in contact with liquid and, when consumed, forms a large, gel-like mass. The powder, which is produced through gentle milling, has a much larger surface area and thus a significantly greater swelling volume than whole hulls. The swelling value of our high-quality organic psyllium husk powder is over 80, while it is generally only 40+ for whole husks.

Serving Suggestion
Recommended Dosage
Take 4-5 capsules (equivalent to 2700-3250 mg organic psyllium husk powder) daily with 200ml of water in the morning on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before breakfast. Be sure to drink sufficient water throughout the day.
As part of an intestinal cleanse, psyllium husk powder capsules can be taken twice per day (in the morning and evening), as described above. In the evening, it is best to take psyllium at least 2 hours after a meal.
Note:
Take psyllium at least 1 hour before or after taking any medication.
Do not take more than 7 capsules at one time (when taking 7 capsules, drink at least 400-500ml water).
Daily Requirements
The National Health Service (NHS) recommends a daily intake of 20g for children age 5 to 11, 25g for children age 11 to 16 and 30g for adults of fibre. However, it is important to note that individual fibre needs may vary according to dietary habits, genetics and other factors.
