We obtain our extract from the nutrient-rich ginseng roots grown by one of the most renowned (and INSAM certified) producers in Korea, with over 30 years' experience in cultivating and processing premium ginseng.
The ginseng is cultivated in its native terroirs of South Korea and Manchuria, Northern China. These are the only regions where genuine Korean Panax ginseng is cultivated and processed according to traditional methods. Our ginseng is grown by experienced farmers who follow strict guidelines and quality standards.
Since genuine Panax ginseng is almost extinct in the wild, we source our roots from a renowned grower who cultivates the plant in conditions that mimic its natural, wild growing environment. Only roots which are at least 6 years old are harvested, as these retain a variety of ginsenosides in high concentrations after the traditional steaming process.
Many commercial ginseng products list the ginsenoside content as equal to that of the saponins. However, ginsenosides are a special type of triterpene saponins which cannot easily be differentiated in a laboratory. First-rate ginseng extracts are those with a ginsenoside content of over 60mg/g. Our red ginseng extract contains a standardised 80mg/g of ginsenosides and can therefore be classified as particularly high-quality and saponin-rich. Just one of our red ginseng extract capsules contains 40mg/g of ginsenosides, of which 17% Rg1, Rb1 and Rg3.
Our red ginseng contains a standardised content of at least 19.5% ginsenosides. Besides the main ginsenosides Rb1, Rb2, Rc and RD (panadiols), it also contains the secondary ginsenosides Rb3, Ra1, Ra2, Ra3, Rg3, Rh2, Rs1, Rs2 (panaxdiols), Rf, Rg2 and Rh1 (panaxtriols) as well as Ro (from the oleanolic acid group).
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
