How are we different?
Our Sango coral products are sourced directly from the Japanese market leader in Okinawa, southern Japan. They are 100% natural and sustainably collected from fossil corals in Okinawa at depths of over 50m. Corals cannot live at this depth due to the lack of light. They accumulate annually in a natural process in the deeper outer area around the vast Okinawa reef on the seabed. These are therefore guaranteed fossil deposits, living corals are not affected. This harvesting method has also been approved by the WWF.
The fossil corals of the reef skeleton are collected from the seabed at a depth of more than 50m, washed several times, dehydrated, sterilised at 200°C for about 10 minutes and dried. Excess material is then removed by sieving and subsequent grinding. The gentle production process ensures that the microporous structure of the coral is preserved in the powder, allowing for a high surface area, faster and easier ionisation and thus high bioavailability. The products have been tested in our independent laboratory in Germany and found to be free from radioactivity (zero becquerels).
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG.
