How are we different?

Our formula combines a high-dose, natural turmeric powder with highly concentrated curcuminoids from turmeric extract. It supplies the full range of natural compounds found in turmeric root, including turmerosaccharides and essential oils, in synergy with an increased content of curcuminoids.

Turmeric powders vary greatly in terms of quality. This is partly due to the addition of food colouring to enhance the appearance of the curcumin. Other additives are used to increase the weight and volume of the product. Our powder contains 100% pure turmeric powder with 3.7% curcuminoids, which are free from sweeteners and preservatives. High quality turmeric products have a natural range of 2.5–5% curcuminoid content.

Generic turmeric extracts available on the market often consist of only isolated curcuminoids, and may even be enriched with synthetically produced curcuminoids. We use exclusively natural, premium extracts. Our 67:1 extract achieves a standardised value of 95% curcuminoids and – being derived via pure, food-grade ethanol extraction – is guaranteed free from extraction residues such as n-hexane, acetone and methanol.

In many instances, turmeric is cultivated with water that has been polluted with heavy metals or pesticides, which then build up in the plant itself. Our Turmeric Extract 10,500 Forte is not only 100% natural, but also sourced directly from cultivation without plant protection products in India. The tubers are shade-dried, finely ground, and extracted (i.e., used directly in a powder form). The fresher the turmeric is, the more essential oils and phytochemicals are retained, while oxidation and light exposure reduce the effectiveness of the powder. For this reason, we do not use any turmeric powder that has been stored for extended periods of time; we use only fresh powder taken directly after harvest.

According to our own experiences as well as research, the quality of raw turmeric is not always guaranteed. Microbiological factors – such as salmonella, bacteria and mould – are an inherent concern. We utilise a gentle steam sterilisation method to cleanse the product, which is a requirement for all high-grade raw turmeric ingredients sourced from India.

Effects

Turmeric from India

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.), a ginger plant native to India, has been revered as a sacred plant for over 5000 years. According to ancient writings in the Indian Vedas, this "Indian saffron" was considered one of the most important spices of its time. In Ayurvedic teachings as well as in Chinese tradition, the root plays an important role; in Europe, different species of turmeric have been known to healers since ancient times. Traditional usage valued the synergy between the bioactives of the root. Turmeric is one of the most researched plants in the world, with studies largely focused on its curcuminoids.

Curcuminoids, or "Curcumin"

In addition to the unique chemical group of curcuminoids that includes curcumin, cyclocurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin, turmeric also contains a spectrum of synergistic natural compounds that includes essential oils (such as sesquiterpene), polysaccharides (turmerosaccharides) and antioxidative phenolic acids (such as ferulic and caffeic acid). Each capsule contains 152mg pure curcuminoids, such that the capsule contents correspond to 10,500mg turmeric powder. Piperine functions as a bioenhancer, increasing the absorption rate of the difficult to dissolve, lipophilic and less bioavailable curcuminoids by 2000%. The extract is derived through a pure, food-grade ethanol extraction process and is therefore guaranteed free from toxic extraction residues such as n-hexane, acetone and methanol.

20x Higher Bioavailability Due to Piperine

The alkaloid piperine is a bioenhancer commonly found in pepper. The piperine used in our products is derived from black pepper extract and is guaranteed free from synthetic materials as well as pesticides and toxic extraction residues such as n-hexane, acetone and methanol.

Organic Turmeric Powder: The Full Spectrum of Turmeric

To complement the highly concentrated curcuminoids, each capsule contains 150mg pure turmeric powder from cultivation without plant protection products in India. This means that the extracted curcuminoids are embedded in an exceptionally natural context and supplemented with the other valuable compounds of the turmeric root. The result is a unique, highly bioavailable synergy of the best parts of the turmeric plant.

Directions

Take 1 capsule daily with 200ml water with a meal.
