How are we different?
Vitamin B3 exists in various chemical forms. The most common variant is nicotinic acid, which serves as the foundational starting point of vitamin B3 metabolism and must undergo a multi-stage conversion in the body to become active coenzymes. Higher doses of nicotinic acid can trigger a 'niacin flush'—a sudden dilation of the blood vessels that causes intense tingling and skin redness.
Nicotinamide (also known as niacinamide) represents the next stage of niacin metabolism. This form is efficiently metabolised into NAD and NADP; even at high strengths, it rarely induces a flush, except in rare cases of compromised B3 metabolism. Conversely, oral administration of direct coenzymes is ineffective, as they generally degrade during gastrointestinal transit, necessitating excessively high dosages.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG.

Vitamin B3 (niacin) is a precursor to the coenzymes nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP). Serving as central coenzymes in cellular metabolism, NAD and NADP participate in over 450 metabolic redox reactions across all cell types. NAD acts as an energy carrier in numerous physiological processes and is an essential component of the respiratory chain. Consequently, vitamin B3 is vital for systemic energy production and is present in various forms throughout virtually all bodily tissues.
Furthermore, NAD is a substrate for critical signalling molecules, including sirtuins and ADP-Ribosyl-Polymerase, which regulate fundamental cellular processes. The systemic effects of vitamin B3 thereby influence almost all metabolic pathways.
Vitamin B3 is actively involved in cellular energy production as well as the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids. It also regulates mechanisms of regeneration and repair, particularly within the skin and mucous membranes.
Adequate niacin intake is equally critical for the function of the nervous system, as it supports the synthesis of key neurotransmitters within the brain.
