Algae
Freshwater and seawater algae are considered to be among the most powerful superfoods. Their intense green colour results from chlorophyll, a natural pigment common to all plant cells. Chlorophyll allows plant cells to carry out photosynthesis.
Chlorella
The freshwater alga Chlorella is characterised not only by a very broad nutrient profile of amino acids, protein, vitamins, minerals and trace elements, but most notably by its exceptionally high chlorophyll content and the unique "Chlorella Growth Factor" (CGF) contained in the cell nucleus. This special Chlorella variety (C. vulgaris) comes from Chikugo, Japan and has a particularly available nano-cell wall and high chlorophyll content. It has been cultivated in outdoor pools in southern Japan with natural sunlight. Tested for radioactivity.
Spirulina
This freshwater algae (Arthrospira platensis) is actually a type of cyanobacterium (also called blue-green algae). It is characterised above all by its extraordinarily high nutrient density and rich phycocyanin content, a plant pigment which gives the blue-green algae its naturally blue undertone. We offer original Spirulina pacifica by Nutrex, specially produced for us without silicon dioxide. This alga comes from a natural location on the Kona coast of Hawai'i and has been produced using a patented, particularly gentle spray-drying process (ocean chill method) that retains over 90% of the nutrients. It has a pleasantly mild taste.
