How are we different?
Our premium berberine extract is derived from the root of wildcrafted Indian barberry (Berberis aristata). The extraction process is conducted entirely using food-grade ethanol. No further solvents such as methanol or acetone are used so the natural purity of the plant is fully preserved. The 40:1 extraction allows for a high concentration of active ingredients and 97% berberine HCl content. The dried extract is filled into our ultra-pure capsules in the only further processing step. As a result, the capsules contain only 100% barberry root extract, with no additives or carriers.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Berberine
Berberine is an alkaloid found in high concentrations in the roots of the barberry (Berberis aristata). Barberry is a shrub native to India, Pakistan and Bhutan and is also commonly found in Europe as an ornamental shrub.
Barberry has a long tradition of use in Indian, Chinese and European herbalism and has been the focus of research for several years due to its diverse range of effects.
