How are we different?
Our clary sage extract is obtained from the leaves and flowers of the clary sage plant. The extraction process, in which only water and ethanol (food grade) are used, produces a high-quality extract with a guaranteed content of 95% of the valuable terpeonide sclareol.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Clary sage (Salvia sclarea L.) belongs botanically to the labiate family and belongs to the genus Salvia, whose name is derived from the Latin "salvare", meaning "to heal." It is native to the landscapes of southern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Its flowers and leaves contain a strongly scented essential oil, which is why clary sage was already used as a spice and ornamental plant in ancient times. The thermophilic plant was naturalised in Central Europe in the early Middle Ages, where it was also used by Hildegard von Bingen as part of herbal medicine.
