How are we different?
Our Premium Magnesium Complex 12 Ultra consists of twelve select magnesium forms: magnesium malate, glycinate, citrate, succinate, taurate, lactate, acetate, ascorbate, pidolate, lysinate, gluconate and ionic minerals. The individual magnesium compounds are of high quality and purity. They come as valuable amino acid and fruit acid chelates (magnesium glycinate, citrate, malate, taurate, lysinate and pidolate) and as mild, metabolically active organic compounds (magnesium succinate, acetate, lactate, gluconate and ascorbate). With no magnesium oxide at all, the complex is particularly well suited to people with sensitive gastrointestinal tracts.
The natural mineral concentrate Concentrace®, made from the water of the Great Salt Lake in Utah (USA), contains over 70 exclusively naturally occurring ionic minerals and trace elements, which refine our Premium Magnesium Complex 9 Ultra. Because this lake has no outflow, a particularly large number of minerals and trace elements have accumulated in its water over thousands of years, and the valuable mineral concentrate is 99% sodium-free.
The natural magnesium compounds are combined in an optimal mixing ratio to create a product of exceptionally high bioavailability. The individual properties of each form, such as preferential uptake into different tissues (muscles, brain, organs) and different absorption rates, were taken into account in the composition, so that the balanced combination allows the most comprehensive magnesium supply possible.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We package this product in amber glass jars instead of plastic to protect the ingredients from light.

Magnesium Glycinate
Magnesium glycinate is bound to the amino acid glycine, which is found in high concentrations in connective tissue and the brain. Magnesium glycinate is one of the most bioavailable magnesium compounds. Magnesium contributes to normal protein synthesis, normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function.
Magnesium Taurate
Magnesium taurate is bound to the amino acid taurine. Large amounts of taurine can be found in muscle, eye tissues and the brain. Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, normal protein synthesis and normal muscle functioning.
Magnesium Pidolate
Magnesium pidolate is an organic compound in which magnesium is bound to pidolic acid (pyroglutamic acid). As a physiological amino acid derivative, pidolic acid occurs naturally in the brain and nerve tissue. Magnesium pidolate stands out for its excellent bioavailability and is also suitable for people with a sensitive stomach and gut. It contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and to normal psychological function.
Magnesium Lysinate
Magnesium lysinate is a form of magnesium bound to the amino acid lysine and is characterised by the special properties of L-lysine as well as its high solubility; the combination of these characteristics particularly promotes absorption.
Magnesium Citrate
Magnesium citrate is a fruit acid chelate of magnesium bound to citric acid and comes in two basic forms: magnesium hydrogen citrate with only 6–7% magnesium or high-quality trimagnesium dicitrate with a high magnesium content of 10–15%. For our magnesium complexes, we use only high-quality trimagnesium dicitrate as an anhydrous hydrate with an exceptionally high magnesium content of 14.5%. Magnesium citrate is alkaline and the magnesium it contains contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal muscle function, normal electrolyte balance and normal protein synthesis.
Magnesium Malate
Magnesium malate is a salt of malic acid. Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and normal functioning of the nervous system.
Magnesium Succinate
Magnesium succinate is an organic magnesium salt of succinic acid (succinate). Succinic acid is a central intermediate in the citric acid cycle of cellular energy production (ATP synthesis). Due to the organic binding, magnesium succinate is highly bioavailable and contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal muscle function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Magnesium Acetate
Magnesium acetate is an organic compound of magnesium and acetic acid. It is characterised by its exceptionally high water solubility and rapid absorption in the body. Acetate is a natural metabolic product of the human body with mild buffering properties. Magnesium acetate contributes to normal energy metabolism, electrolyte balance and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Magnesium Gluconate
Magnesium gluconate is a salt of gluconic acid, a fruit acid also found in kombucha and some fermented drinks. Magnesium gluconate is highly bioavailable, and contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the normal function of the nervous system. It also has a role in the process of cell division.
Magnesium Lactate
Magnesium lactate is an organic compound of magnesium and dextrorotatory lactic acid (lactate). Dextrorotatory lactic acid is a natural metabolic product of the human body and is also produced by lactic acid bacteria. Lactate is a component of the skin's acid mantle and the lactic acid intestinal environment.
Magnesium Ascorbate
Magnesium ascorbate, also known as buffered vitamin C, is a salt of ascorbic acid (vitamin C). It is very well tolerated and exhibits high bioavailability.
